It is thought that Owen Wilson’s suicide bid occurred shortly after a “vicious quarrel” with an unidentified friend.
Owen was found “bloodied and dazed” after trying to commit suicide by overdosing on pills and slashing his wrist in the wake of a bitter blowup with a close pal, reports The New York Post.
"It's hard. He's such a wonderful person," a source tells them. "He's such a great guy and so smart and just...nice. We're just hoping he gets better."
The Wedding Crashers star recently split from actress Kate Hudson, who was pictured publicly canoodling with new love Dax Shepard over the weekend.
Friends have revealed that despite his reputation as a happy slacker type, Owen has a long history of depression.
He is currently in a stable condition at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
